I for one am very sad to see Geauga Lake close. (just as I was sad to see Sea World leave) I mean that was the one way I could explain to people where I lived, you know where Geauga Lake and Sea World are?? and they would be like OH yeah! I grew up in Aurora and was always so excited to go to Geauga Lake as a child! I grew up at GL in my teens! I took my kids there when they were small. However, I do believe it became too big and commercialized, and would have liked to have seen it go back to the hometown amusement park it was when I was a kid, but obviously that isn’t going to happen. Bigger isn’t always better! what a shame!
