I completely agree with Zebra. Geauga Lake, NOT Six Flags, is a landmark here...it put us on the map. I agree to an extent with Cedar Fairs wanting to get back to the family oriented park, something sadly lost with Six Flags. Yes, Six Flags put in some "cool" rides, but the caliber of employees and condition of the park as a whole, suffered.
I also can see where the "thrill factor" came into play for competition sake however, there are just as many, if not more people that want and appreciate the family oriented atmosphere.
And the real estate issue putting up with a gazillion more cars for 3 months beats the hell out of putting up with 2,000 more on a daily basis.

Heck no. You cant tare this place down. You must be a foreigner. As in this park, or what was once, parks is in my opinion part of this towns culture. Period. Cedar Fair is not Six Flags.

if its tore down they'll be selling zillion dollar homes on a lake, and I wont be able to paddle off and bump into their translake walk way =-)
