As a supporter of the band and a friend of many band members, the fact that we will be getting a new band room comes as great news. yes we already have one, but we have to have 2 different bands and philharmonic orchestra all practice during 8th period. 3 musical groups cant practice in one band room. The fact that we wont go pay-to-play or have to say goodbye to members of our staff is great news to us here at AHS. Thank you from many AHS students! as a student i would like to say thank you to all of you who voted yes on the levy.

What an exciting year to be able to vote. As a freshman in college she was able to vote for the passing of the levy for a school that gave her the best education possible. Now her younger brother can have the same great education. I know the increase is going to hurt lots of people, myself included, but our children are worth it. Their education is worth it. I think I have written this before but my daughter is so well prepared for college and watches as so many other students struggle. Aurora teaches the kids to be ready to learn at a much higher level and they are so well prepared to further their education. When I went to bed last night the levy was failing, but woke up to the very pleasant suprise of seeing it passed. Good job to all who took the time to vote!!
